1. Remove two opposite squares from an n x n square checker-board. Is there any value of n for which the remaining squares can be covered by nonoverlapping 1 x 2 dominoes? Demonstrate your covering or prove that it cannot be done.
2. Identify a theorem you have learned for which you needed to see a proof before you would  believe it.
3. Identify a theorem you have seen proved that seemed so obvious to you that you didn't think a proof was needed.
